FAQ

Model-Driven Apps Training Questions

Still unsure? Message us on WhatsApp.

Do I need to take the Canvas App training first?

No — this training is self-contained and assumes no prior Dataverse or Model-Driven experience.

How is this different from Canvas Apps?

Model-Driven Apps are built on top of Microsoft Dataverse and are geared toward structured, data-heavy business applications — more enterprise-style, with built-in forms, views, dashboards, and security roles, versus the highly customizable UI of Canvas Apps.

What will I build?

A complete Model-Driven business app with a custom Dataverse data model, forms/views/dashboards, Business Rules, a Business Process Flow, and role-based security — published by the end.

Does this prepare me for pro-code development (JavaScript, Plugins)?

This training is your entry point — it deliberately doesn't cover JavaScript customization, Plugins, or ALM, which are pro-code, intermediate-level topics. It's the right starting point before tackling those.

What do I need set up beforehand?

A Microsoft 365 account with Power Apps and Dataverse enabled. No coding experience needed.

Is Dataverse the same as SharePoint?

No — Dataverse is a more structured, scalable data platform built for business applications. This training teaches Dataverse fundamentals directly, and our separate Dataverse training goes even deeper if you want that.

What if I miss a session?

You get 60-day access to the session recordings, so you can catch up or rewatch anything you missed.
